To operate HK Law Private Tutor (hereinafter "we", "us" or "our"), we collect and use information about individuals ("Personal Data"), including information about our former, current, and potential students ("Students" or "you").
We respect your privacy and data security and set out in this Privacy Policy Statement ("Privacy Policy") the information we may collect, what we do with such information and what rights Students have.
1. What information do we collect?
Like most website operators, we collect information without personal identification which web browsers and servers typically make available, including the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.
In respect of Students, we collect basic identification information from Students, including name and electronic address details (e.g. telephone number and/or email address). We may collect from Students electronic communication information (e.g. emails, attachments, phone conversations, chat, or other communication data) and education information.
2. How do we process Personal Data?
We collect and process Personal Data of Students for the purposes of recruiting and providing tutoring and/or consulting services to Students, as well as other purposes which may be required by the law.
3. We use Google AdWords for remarketing
We use remarketing, re-engagement, or similar audiences to advertise on third-party websites (including Google) to visitors who have previously visited our website and match the right people with the right message. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an enquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, show the ads on sites across the Internet, and use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to our website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Google’s privacy policy.
You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and you can opt out of Google's use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or control the use of device identifiers by using their device’s settings.
4. Is there any protection on our part with respect to Personal Data?
We ensure that Personal Data collected are confidential and that they are protected against unauthorised, accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, misuse, disclosure, or access, and against all other unlawful forms of processing.
5. What are your rights with respect to your Personal Data?
To the extent permitted by the applicable data protection legislation, you may have the right to (i) access and obtain a copy of your Personal Data processed by us, (ii) the right to request us to correct any incorrect, incomplete or outdated information about you, and (iii) request the termination of collection, processing, storage of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Requests" and each, a "Request").
Please note that if you make a Request, we may ask that you verify your identity and/or provide information necessary for us to understand your request. 6. Will this Privacy Policy change?
We may from time to time make changes to our Privacy Policy at our absolute discretion. As such, we encourage visitors to check this page on a frequent basis for any such changes to our Privacy Policy.
